Sunkissed Campers started operations in 1974.  We have been in the business for the past 30 years serving a multitude of needs of everyone from renting Motor homes to travel trailers to pop-up campers.

Our units are all privately owned and are all quite new and we ensure their good condition were it our own. Though small, we are accessible to our clients 24/7, ensure clients get the units they reserve and are most competitively priced compared to the other companies.

Mostly we pride ourselves on our repeat clientele which is a testimony to the good and honest service we provide.

Sunkissed RV Rentals Florida Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2007 and 31-Dec-2009

MOTOR  HOMES
•    A non-refundable reservation charge of $ 300.00 is required at the time of making the reservation. This deposit is forfeited in the event of the customer canceling this booking.  You will be given the opportunity to rent the same or another vehicle again within 6 months of your original (cancelled) booking and will use this deposit against the cost of the future rental.  This non refundable deposit is in addition to the deposit taken by Imall vehicle Hire at the time of this booking being confirmed.
•    Balance of the rental + security deposit will be settled on the day the unit is picked up.
•    The tax  of 7% will be charged on the total billing (not on the security deposit)
•    Security deposit for rentals of 3 days / 1 week are done as an authorization only.
•    On rentals of units which are booked for longer than a week, the security deposit will be done as a sale.
•    Security deposits are released into the renter’s account / returned after 10 business days of the unit being returned (after the unit has been assessed that no damage has been done & the level of cleaning that needs to be done)

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

Security Deposit:
There is $ 600.00 security deposit on units from 22 – 29 feet
There is $ 1000.00 security deposit on units from 30 – 38 feet.
There is an additional security deposit of $ 500.00 for the use of the awning.

Motorhome
Motorhome Generator Charges
– there are 2 options:
Get the first 5 hrs of usage over a 3 day rental for free or first 20 hours of usage over a seven day rental for free and pay $1.00 for every extra hour of generator use at the end of your rental
Or you can prepay $ 15.00 per day for the duration of the travel and have unlimited generator usage. Please note: You do not still receive the free 5 hours over 3 days or 20 hours over 7 days if you choose this option.

Mileage: 100 free miles per day, (any mileage over and above the free miles will be charged at 27cents a mile. Approximate mileage, based on the destination needs to be prepaid prior to departure.  Any unutilized mileage will be refunded.)
    
POP-UP CAMPERS
•    A non-refundable reservation charge of $ 50.00 is required at the time of making the reservation.
•    Balance of the rental + security deposit will be settled on the day the unit is picked up.
•    The tax  of 7% will be charged on the total billing (not on the security deposit)
•    Security deposit for rentals of 3 days / 1 week are done as an authorization only.
•    On rentals of units which are booked for longer than a week, the security deposit will be done as a sale.
•    Security deposits are released into the renter’s account / returned after 10 business days of the unit being returned (after the unit has been assessed that no damage has been done & the level of cleaning that needs to be done)

•  There is $ 250.00 security deposit on pop-up campers.

Cleaning fees: there will be a charge of $ 15.00.

TRAVEL  TRAILER
•    A non-refundable reservation charge of $ 100.00 is required at the time of making the reservation.
•    Balance of the rental + security deposit will be settled on the day the unit is picked up.
•    The tax  of 7% will be charged on the total billing (not on the security deposit)
•    Security deposit for rentals of 3 days / 1 week are done as an authorization only.
•    On rentals of units which are booked for longer than a week, the security deposit will be done as a sale.
•    Security deposits are released into the renter’s account / returned after 10 business days of the unit being returned (after the unit has been assessed that no damage has been done & the level of cleaning that needs to be done)

Security deposit:
a)  There is $ 350.00 security deposit on travel trailers.
b)  There is an additional security deposit of $ 500.00 for the use of the awning.

Cleaning fees: there will be a charge of:
$ 25.00 for light cleaning
$ 30.00 – 50.00 for medium cleaning
$100.00 for heavy cleaning which includes carpet cleaning
$ 35.00 for cleaning either the front or back of the unit

Hitch charges:
A charge of $ 25.00 will be charged for the hitch.

FURTHER NOTES ON SECURITY DEPOSITS
Security Deposit will be returned within 10 business days from date of return as long as no damage is noted, and it was returned in the same condition as when it went out.  Please note that when you sign the check out sheet it is your responsibility to note any damages.  Any damages not noted prior to departure and is noted upon return and (thoroughly checked in) will be charged to your security deposit. 

Security deposit is used towards but not limited to the following:

Disposal of waste (if the caps are not left open and the levers are not pulled there will be an automatic charge of $25.00, NO Exception)
Smoking is not permitted (there is NO exception, you will lose your deposit)
Animals are not permitted. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT.
Additional deposit required for use of awning. If the awning is damaged you will FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.

GAS / PROPANE CHARGES FOR ALL VEHICLES
Gas/Propane:
A flat charge of $10.00 will be charged for propane use for ALL units that are booked for a 4 day rental.
A charge of $ 15.00 will be charged for propane use for ALL units that are booked for a 8 day rental or more (which is typically what is used).       
However, with Motorhomes, there are some instances when the usage is more than one tank, in which case we shall charge $30.00
Motor homes must be returned with the same amount of gas as when it went out (we would require the receipt for the same).  Failure to do so, would result in the renter being charged $5.00 per gallon.

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Driver / Renter Requirements
* Named renter of Travel Trailers or Campers must be aged 25 years or older.
* Named renter and all named additional drivers of Motorhomes must be aged 25 years or older.
* No other person outside of the drivers named at the beginning of your rental are permitted to drive our motorhomes.   All insurance coverages are forfeited in the event of an accident or incident with an unnamed driver and the renter       will be held wholly responsible for the cost of all damages and lost income
* All named drivers of Motorhomes must have a current and valid US Driver's License, International Drivers License or valid and current driver's license issues by their country.

Smoking
Customers are advised that there MUST be NO SMOKING inside the Motor home/Camper/Pop-up and the units are rented on the condition that there will be NO smoking inside!!!  If ash, smoke smell or cigarette butts are found the security deposit will be forfeited and NO EXCUSES will be accepted

Miscelaneous
  • If you need repairs on the road you must call for approval if over $50.00
  • If the unit is not brought back in clean condition, there will be a deduction for cleaning, such as but not limited to cleaning the bugs off the front, carpet, bathroom, shower, refrigerator, etc.
  • If there is damage to the unit there will be a deductible of $250.00 for pop up, $ 350.00 for travel trailers and a $500.00 for motor homes.
  • Renter is responsible for tire replacement and damage to the motor home caused by a tire blow out.  Tires and damage is not covered by insurance.
  • Regardless of how far you are driving please check the oil regularly. You will need to provide a receipt or you will be billed the charge of the oil change.
  • If a motor home, travel trailer or pop-up leaves with a specified amount of gas/propane, the renter is responsible for bringing the unit back at the same level otherwise, Get-Away Campers, will charge a $5.00 per gallon of gas and $10.00 to $15.00 per tank of propane. ($10.00 for week-end and $ 15.00 for one week and up)
  • Any damages above the windshield will be a separate charge and will not be covered under insurance.  Please also note that if there is more then one incidence there will be a separate deductible for each occurrence.
  • If you are driving the motor homes more than 3000 miles you are responsible for changing the oil.  If the generator is run for more than 150 hours or more the customer is responsible for changing the oil and filters as regular maintenance. 
  • On all motor homes, travel trailers and pop-ups please remember to check the tires and the lug nuts each time you stop for gas.  Tires are your responsibility.
  • Renter is responsible for and shall pay all parking and traffic violations.
  • Pick Ups: Vehicles are normally to be picked up between 3pm - 5pm Monday to Saturday.  There are no Sunday pick ups. Early pick up’s can be arranged at a supplemental cost ($ 50.00 for motor homes and travel trailer’s and $20.00 for pop-up campers).  The time for pick up then would be after 3 PM.
  • Returns: Units need to be returned by 11 AM.  If they are not an additional day charge will be levied on the renter’s security deposit.Units can be dropped off or picked up to your location rather than you making your way to our physical depot in Pineallas Park. For a drop or pick up of a unit, there would be an additional charge.  This will be determined based on where the pick up / drop is to be.  This is typically $81 for a one way delivery or pick up and $110 for a round trip delivery and pick up of vehicle within the Clearwater, St Petersburg, South Tampa area.  Some North Tampa areas could be more expensive.

Insurance for Motorhomes

Your insurance company must cover you for collision and liability or you do need to purchase our insurance.  Please also note that with all motorhomes - if there is more then one incidence there will be a separate deductible for each occurrence.

Sunkissed RV carries no insurance for renters on the RVs/Motorhomes.
Renters may either provide insurance for the RV through their own auto insurance policy or purchase insurance through MBA Choice.  If you are providing coverage through your own auto insurance policy you will be required to present written documentation (i.e. your insurance policy)  that clearly shows your being covered for the driving on RVs / Motorhomes in the United States.  
Your insurance company must cover you for collision and liability or you do need to purchase our insurance.  If for any reason you chose your own insurance and they do not pay a claim then you are fully responsible. Please note that a lot of insurance policies may cover you for rental cars but may not extend to Motorhomes / RVs. Please check with your insurance company.
Any damages above the windshield will be a separate charge and will not be covered under insurance.

Important Note:  
Do not purchase insurance coverage with MBA Choice until you have received your final booking confirmation email confirming the availability of your chosen vehicle and itinerary. The following instructions on how to book with MBA Choice will be repeated on your booking confirmation email.

Purchasing coverage for Motorhomes through MBA Choice
This can be purchased online by visiting www.mbacoice.com.  Please make sure you bring a copy of your documentation with you.  Coverage costs between $15 - $25 per day depending on the vehicle you are hiring.
1. Go to the Purchase RV Rental Insurance page on the website www.mbachoice.com.
2. Here you will be asked for a Policy Number.  The Policy Number for Sunkissed RV / Getaway Campers is 8806, Enter this and click the Verify Dealer Button.
3. On the next page you will be asked to stipulate whether the vehicle you are renting is a Series 1, Series 2 or Series 3 vehicle. * Please see list below of Sunkissed RV / Getaway Campers' vehicles and which series they fall into.
4. Click the correct Series button and on the following pages you will be asked for your trip, personal and payment details.  
5. You will receive documentation via email once your purchase has been completed. Please bring a copy of this with you

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

You can either make your way to our depot in Pinellas Park by taxi cab or shuttle service or we can deliver the unit to your location in the Clearwater Area. If you make your way to us by taxi cab or shuttle we will refund the cost of your return trip. But if you wish for us to drop or pick up the unit from your location extra charges will apply for this service. these would be in the vicinity of $81 one way or $110 for both a pick up and drop off service.

Pick ups are Mon - Sat 3 - 5pm. Early pick ups can be arranged at a supplemental cost ($ 50.00 for motor homes and travel trailer's and $ 20.00 for pop-up campers). The time for pick up then would be after 3 PM.

Units need to be returned by 11 AM. If they are returned late an additional day charge will be levied on the renter's security deposit.

Pinellas Park depot

But if you wish for us to drop or pick up the unit from your location extra charges will apply for this service. these would be in the vicinity of $81 one way or $110 for both a pick up and drop off service. These charges could be higher for North tampa locations

Pick ups are Mon - Sat 3 - 5pm. Early pick up's can be arranged at a supplemental cost ($ 50.00 for motor homes and travel trailer's and $ 20.00 for pop-up campers). The time for pick up then would be after 3 PM.

Units need to be returned by 11 AM. If they are returned late an additional day charge will be levied on the renter's security deposit.
